I am a curious person and find it exciting to try many different mediums. My choices of subject matter are also diverse and range widely from abstract to representational including humans and nature.

In my early 50’s I left the profession of graphic design and transitioned to working as an art therapist. A love of fiber was re-awakened as I helped clients use fabric, yarn and thread for self-expression. Now, I am exploring ways of marrying my love of painting with intense colors with my equally strong love of fiber. My fiber choices include canvas, linen, wool roving, cotton thread, paper clay and many types of yarn.

My paint choices include watercolors, acrylics, and oils. I create paintings to satisfy my desire to see specific colors together. I create fiber art to experience the feel of the thread and the cloth in my hands. Weaving and stitching satisfy an elemental need for a tactile experience.

Finding the perfect blend of paint and fiber continues to be the driving force that moves me forward.

Thank you for visiting. I’d love to hear from you.
